If it was that easy it would not have ended up in the paper in the first place. Maybe you should talk directly to the citizen's involved and get the whole story..there is ALWAYS more involved than what you read in the paper. Sometimes no matter how true, or how many facts a paper gets they don't put the story out. I applaud Greg Ruland, because the "other" paper does not care to deal with the facts.

The Chief is making traffic stops for a tractor trailer check point??? If there is so much growth why doesn't he have his employees do the work. This has been one of his biggest downfalls, leadership. If the department is growing so much you would think he would have officers to do the work for him; or he just has it out for the local businessman-a personal issue. Maybe Chief Fanning should spend less time gossiping, less time spending city paid time on his personal life issues, and more time learning how to run a police department.

All the guy had to do was follow the chief's instructions, return to the weigh station, and weigh the truck. He should have done that.

If the Chief is now doing traffic stops on the M's,and he kindly had to remind Tommy, that he doesn't run Ctwd P.D.,who is? What would prompt a comment like that? Is the Chief also making a point to stop other vehichles? If not, why? I see the M's using the back entrance to their biz reg- ularly, this is the safer way for their trucks to get on 89A., and at the light. We should all thank them for that! At 1 point I had due respect for both parties, not so much now. Sounds like M's are going to have grounds for another suit, called harassment. DUE RESPECT, LOOK IT UP CTWD OFFICIALS
