Starting pitcher, sophomore Madison Garcia, was back on the mound, but starting shortstop Shelby Mulclaire was out due to a neck injury. Catcher Danya Weir made great at-bat appearances, going four for four, and Sharli Macdonald in left field made multiple outstanding catches, even breaking her glove at one point.

Yet, with the number of injuries, CVHS Head Coach Debbi Miller had to make some last-minute adjustments — and last-minute adjustments can affect even the best teams.
