Showers signs on to play at Arizona Christian University

A Camp Verde basketball star is set to continue her basketball career at the collegiate level.

Camp Verde high School senior Amanda Showers prepares to sign her letter of intent Jan. 17 to be the newest Firestorm basketball player at Arizona Christian University. Showers was a three-sport varsity athlete at CVHS, lettering in basketball, volleyball and track and field, and will be the fourth in her immediate family to play competitive college athletics. Amanda Showers, a three-sport Camp Verde High School senior, signed her letter of intent Jan. 17 to be the newest Firestorm athlete at Arizona Christian University.

The Arizona Christian University basketball program started looking at Showers her junior year at one of the tournaments and contacted her about a scholarship to play basketball after volleyball season this year.
