The Mingus Union Marauders are proving just who the dominators of the soccer field are in the Verde Valley.

Sophomore Mikey Gilboy, left, heads the ball while battling a Sedona Red Rock High School defender during a game Friday, Jan. 11, in Cottonwood. The Marauders [6-3] beat the Sedona Red Rock Scorpions [3-5] for the second time this season on Friday, Jan. 11, only this time they kept the Scorpions scoreless, winning 7-0.

With the temperature dropping, the Mingus Union boys pumped themselves up by consistently beating the Scorpions to the ball and keeping it in Scorpions territory.
