The Marauders dazed their rivals in a comeback win by one in overtime.

Mingus beat Sedona in overtime 54-53 improving its record on the season to 4-12. The Marauders next home game is against the Coconino Panthers beginning at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21.The Mingus Union Marauders [4-12] beat their cross-valley rivals, the Sedona Red Rock Scorpions [8-7], 54-53, in the first of two meetings between the teams this season, on Monday, Jan. 15, at Mingus Union High School. The game went into overtime after the Marauders, who trailed by as much as 12 points, climbed their way back into the game in the third quarter, and kept the momentum until the end.

“[I am] very proud,” Marauders Head Coach Art Moncibaez said. “We’ve been having a hard time getting some wins, and this is a good one.”
