Marauders advance to second round

Sophomore starting pitcher Austin Zwart settled in after allowing two runs in the second inning, and his Marauders went on to win the first round of the Division III state playoffs Tuesday, May 1, 14-2.

“We were confident we could play well against Monument Valley,” longtime Mingus Union High School baseball Head Coach Bob Young said. “We lost our last three games of the year, so it’s been an up-and-down year. We have the talent and if we play like we can, we can make a run.”
