Winning three straight championships is difficult in any sport, regardless of a team’s makeup, coaching staff or talent, but to do so in a Little League setting where players come and go every year, it’s almost impossible.

Dakota Battise gets a base hit Friday, June 8, at the Tournament of Champions in Prescott Valley. Battise and his Camp Verde Angels won the tournament, defeating the Prescott Valley Red Sox on Sunday, June 10, 9-3.Don’t tell that to the Camp Verde Angels, however, as the boys in red, representing the Camp Verde Little League majors [ages 11 to 12] division, won the Tournament of Champions for the third straight time this past weekend, defeating the Prescott Valley Red Sox, 9-3.

About the only thing that hasn’t changed is longtime Angels skipper Craig Reddell who was thrilled his team was able to pull off such an impressive feat.
