There would be no Friday the 13th scenario for the Cowboys this past weekend as they defeated the visiting Scorpions, 5-0.

Camp Verde High School tallied two runs in the bottom of the third inning and three more in its half of the sixth to improve to 13-9 overall this season.

This spring, the Cowboys are 6-7 overall in Arizona Interscholastic Association power point play and are ranked No. 31 in the Division III AIA power point poll.
