Richard Ervin, 79, of Cottonwood, died Jan. 28.

He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in San Jose, Calif. He was preceded in death by a sister Roberta.

He is survived by his wife Jean; sons Kevin (Suzette) of Tampa, Florida and Shawn of Sacramento, Calif.; brothers Jack (Hazel) and Bob (Irene), all of Sonora, Calif., and Rodney of San Jose, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Private inurnment was held at the Prescott National Cemetery.
