Just before 8 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported accident involving a single vehicle and two school buses on El Rancho Bonito Road, Cornville.
Witnesses told deputies a dark colored 4-door sedan had initially sideswiped one school bus, and after completing a U-turn, rear ended another school bus down the road. The car's driver was treated by EMS crews from the Verde Valley Fire District and then transported to Verde Valley Medical Center. The car driver's injuries were not life threatening. Deputies continue to investigate the cause of these collisions involving the driver and concerns about medications which may have impaired his ability to safely drive. Blood test results are pending. A preliminary finding indicates alcohol was not a factor. |
