Few bands were able to match the worldwide success Foreigner saw from 1977 to 1985.

The band’s first album had hits such as “Feels Like the First Time,” and “Hot Blooded.” It followed that up in 1979 with “Head Games” and “Dirty White Boy” but in 1981, Foreigner went from a popular band to a mega-band with the release of the album Foreigner 4. That album produced “Urgent,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting for a Girl Like You.”

But the band wasn’t done yet. In 1985 it put out Agent Provocateur, which included “That Was Yesterday” and their biggest hit ever, “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

Foreigner performed in concert on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel.

Today, guitarist Mick Jones is the only remaining original band member from its heyday. But despite several new faces along the way, fans of Foreigner continue to flock to their more than 100 annual concerts around the world.
