A group of people have last week completed construction of a new building for the Town of Camp Verde.Situated between the Town Ramada and Fort Verde sits the new All Purpose Building, originally conceived as a cookhouse for events. The structure, built by the “Old Guys,” is constructed largely from reclaimed timber and stylistically mirrors the Ramada.

The new building was designed to serve as a “cook shack” and stands next to the town-owned ramada on Hollamon Street.

The Camp Verde Town Council wants to adopt a highway. At least part of one.The Camp Verde Town Council is planning four town cleanups, each to happen before a major event like Fort Verde Days. A stretch of State Route 260 will be cleaned by volunteers.

The council agreed last week to schedule four town cleanups a year, particularly between mile markers 224 and 225 on State Route 260.
